Eric T. Nielsen

“One of the best things about working with my clients, both as an attorney and in the community, is seeing them put their dreams into practice and knowing that I can fight for them on all levels to keep those dreams in place.”

– Eric T. Nielsen

A Partner who focuses his practice on business, civil, and estate litigation.

Eric vigorously advocates on behalf of each of his clients from start to finish without exception.  He also regularly represents clients in personal injury matters and collected over two million dollars ($2,000,000) for his personal injury clients in 2021 alone.

Eric started his career as a business transactional attorney, having received a degree in business/finance in college.  He continues to help his business clients with their transactional needs such as drafting purchase and sale agreements, drafting contracts / reviewing contracts, drafting shareholder agreements, etc.  Eric has the unique ability of wearing multiple legal “hats” through his business transactional work on the one hand and business litigation work on the other hand.  This “dual” practice has allowed Eric to successfully identify (and protect against) potential issues for his clients that he sees day in and day out in court.

In addition, one of the primary focuses of law at Jensen Nielsen Vande Pol is estate planning; and, as such, Eric often has the opportunity to represent clients with probate and estate litigation, including taking one matter all the way to the California Supreme Court in Barefoot v. Jennings (2020) 8 Cal.5th 822.

Eric is proud to admit that unlike so many litigation attorneys, his philosophy is that litigation should always be the last option. However, when litigation is the only option Eric has the experience and competence and drive to give his clients the best representation in and out of the courtroom.
Born and raised in Modesto, Eric now resides in Ripon with his wife and four boys. Eric’s never misses an opportunity to spend time with his family or tend to his ever-expanding garlic garden!
